I decided to pick up used copies of Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code a couple of months ago. If you don't remember those titles, Tom Hanks made movies out of them. I was surprised at how much I actually liked them. I think it took me a total of a week and a half to finish the two books. If you were to choose to read them, Angels & Demons is technically first even though the movies were made the other way around.
