I just find that getting away from that online persona helps me think about who I really am and want to be. And fresh starts aren't impossible, but they still include the past in some way, shape or form. It's more that the internet allows everyday people like me to put on an extra mask where we can make ourselves look more 'put together' than we actually are. In some ways it's not so bad - if we know how we want to represent ourselves we're pretty close to having a full second oar to row with. I find that I'm much less likely to have an idea of who I want to be, and am more inclined to delete the past in hopes of a fresh start. That method doesn't move me forward. At all. But it can create the illusion that I know what I'm doing. I didn’t really mean that being online was holding me back. I find that I’m much less likely to have an idea of who I want to be, and am more inclined to delete the past in hopes of a fresh start. That method doesn’t move me forward. At all. But it can create the illusion that I know what I’m doing.

I'm closer to working that second oar now then I have been in years. I think sometimes I just get lazy and decide to stop working for a while. Hence the fact that I have not done much with my photography like I want to. You just have to take time to focus on yourself.
