About Ms. Brianne Pitt

Welcome! I’m Brianne Pitt, a 30 year old woman from Minnesota full of curious thoughts. My husband and I live a fairly quiet life in the suburb of Bloomington, which is just south of Minneapolis. We’ve got odd senses of humor, but generally keep out of trouble. We married in 2004, at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, and it was the perfect event for us – geeky, whimsical, and TONS of fun! It’s great to go back every year and reminisce. *grin*

I work at a well known Swedish furniture store as both a Payroll and a Cash Reconciliation clerk. I enjoy it a lot. I spend my days auditing time punches, recording statistics, tabulating daily sales, preparing deposits, and helping wherever I’m needed throughout the store. It’s fun being a problem solver and go-to person for all things “Cash Office”.  Hopefully, I’ll work my way up to that level of knowledge in Payroll as well. My fellow coworkers are great, my management teams are top-of-the-line, and I share many values with the company (cost-consciousness, efficiency and simplicity in working, etc.).

I’m a raging optimist, except when I’m not. I think life is about more than just having fun, but I spend a lot of time having fun anyway, just for the heck of it. I’m a little too practical, and I sometimes take things too literally – but just for fun. It’s like a nerdy game I play in my brain. I’d like to become a recovering perfectionist someday. I’m also about 75% frugal and 25% spendthrift. I love buying gifts, and will often go overboard, but I’ll put off buying toothpaste until there is only a squeeze or two left in the tube, and when I do finally buy some it’ll be generic. Also, I’d rather spend money on great food, or entertainment than on fashion, so I’m not a very classy dresser. This is fine because I seem to land on the ‘tom-boy’ end of the spectrum anyway. On that note, technology = awesome. I think that’s good enough for now.
