Community College
I hope it can be established that I’m not a total idiot. I think it’s also fair to say that I’m not the brightest bulb on the tree. Thing is, sometimes attending community college makes me feel like a freakin’ rocket scientist. We got our second test back in my Legal Environment of Business class tonight. I got the highest grade. Again. At least this time he didn’t announce my name… he just said what the highest points earned was, and it matched what was on my paper. Anyway, I had to read two of my essay answers aloud, and I promise you these were not stellar essays. But, they still managed to be the best in the class.
It’s a really excellent thing that I follow lots of brilliant people on Google+… they help keep me grounded/keep my head from growing ridiculously large for no good reason.
Hand Cramp
I just got through with my second of three Biz Law tests and man, does my hand hurt. Those essay questions weren’t terribly difficult, but they sure did involve a lot of words! I haven’t written that much by hand in ages. I’m so spoiled by typing, heh.
Do you like writing by hand?
One More
I’m sitting on the train, blogging while on my way to my Legal Environment of Business class. Once this semester is done, I’ve got one more semester before I finally aquire my Business Management AS degree!
I need to take Marketing, and two business electives. I’m leaning toward Managerial Accounting and International Business, but it is somewhat dependant on how it fits with my work schedule. I don’t usually work Wednesdays, and that’s when the accounting class is, so it might work. I also have the option of Supervision and Leadership, which is online, or Human Relations and Team Building, but that’s in the afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so that doesn’t seem likely. Hopefully I can find a schedule that will work. I sure would love to be done before summer!
Huh
I figured out today why my student loan says I don’t have a payment due til 2013. Since I’m taking 6+ credits, my loan went into auto-deferment because my school is on a magical ‘list’. I’ll be making my payments anyway, of course, but it’s nice to know there isn’t some glitch in my account.
Oh Hey, It’s Summer
So… what happened to the last month? Where did this summertime thing come from?
I’m in week four of my classes, so I’m almost halfway done. In some ways it hasn’t been as bad as I feared it might be, but I’m still very much looking forward to my break in August before fall semester.
Things on the health front are starting to get back where I want them to be. It’s kind of funny, I’m pretty much the same weight as I was back at the beginning of March, but it’s only been in the last few weeks that people at work have noticed. I still don’t like it when people comment, but I’m starting to accept it as part of the process. They think they’re being nice and encouraging. Anyway, I’ve recommitted to my goals and am feeling pretty good about my chances for success.
